Do you take a cut of ticket sales?
No, in any edition. The free plugin, Pro and Business Edition all take nothing from your ticket sales: no fee per ticket and no percentage. Your payment provider charges its own fees for card payments, and the paid editions have an annual licence.
Where is guest data stored?
On your own server, in your own database. Gatecraft is software you run yourself, so your guests' details are never sent to us.
Should I choose WordPress or Business Edition?
If your site already runs on WordPress, the plugin adds ticketing to it: start with the free plugin and add Pro when you need more. If you don't use WordPress, or want a ticketing site of its own, choose Business Edition.
What hosting do I need?
Ordinary shared hosting is enough. Business Edition needs PHP, a MySQL database and HTTPS, the same kind of plan most WordPress sites run on. The WordPress editions need a working WordPress site.
How do licences work?
Licences are annual and cover one installation domain, and renewals are 15% off. If you don't renew, Gatecraft keeps working: you stop receiving updates, security patches, bug fixes and support until you renew. Ask us for current prices.
Does Gatecraft help with GDPR and Japan's privacy law?
Yes. Gatecraft is built to help organisers meet the EU's GDPR, Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and similar laws elsewhere. Guest data stays on your own server, guests can ask for their data to be exported or erased, mailing-list consent is recorded per person, and staff see only what their role needs. As the organiser, you remain responsible for how you use the data, so pair Gatecraft with your own privacy notice.
Can I use my own branding?
Yes, on everything your guests see: event pages, emails and tickets. The admin area always carries Gatecraft branding, and a small "Powered by Gatecraft" line stays in the footer of public pages in every edition.
Can I see it working before I decide?
Yes. Book a demo and we'll walk you through a live installation.
